Bio
Tom Terbush is a dreamer, a seer, and a writer. His stories explore the limitless realms beyond our physical universe. His childlike faith compels him to believe in the miraculous and joyfully work to create a world overflowing with goodness. His desire is to awaken this same passion in every reader.
Tom was the youngest of three boys who grew up south of Denver, Colorado in what was affectionately called “the sticks” by his parents. It was during those formative years that Tom developed a passion for the outdoors and a good adventure. Most days in the summer, he could be found climbing the local crags, scouring the hillsides for arrowheads, rocks or fossils, or causing mischief among the growing number of residents in the burgeoning “country club” community.
Once he graduated high school (whew!), Tom moved to Boulder, Colorado where he met his “rock-n-roll” girlfriend, Jennifer. They fell in love immediately and were married at the ripe old age of nineteen. Within the next three years they were a family of four struggling to finish college in Bozeman, Montana (another outdoor paradise).
It was during the Montana years that Tom began writing. It all began with song lyrics, poetry and rhymes. Together with his wife and friends, his verse became song and was joyfully performed throughout the state.
Now back in Colorado, Tom and Jennifer spend as much time as they can with their grandchildren. The kids are the inspiration for writing the Beniwan series as well as the ever-growing collection of poetry.
“Don’t we have an obligation to give the future generations hope and a future? Much like camping in the woods, it’s our duty to leave the world better than how we found it. If my stories can help achieve that, then I’ve succeeded as a writer, a grandparent and a citizen of the planet.”
